Frequently Asked Questions

  • The answer to this is tricky as quotes can vary depending on a number of factors such as size of pool, site access & conditions and what options you would like to include with your pool. We offer a variety of optional extras such as spillway spas, inground blanket boxes, heaters etc. which can be included on the quote but will add to the cost.

Our quotes general include as standard inclusions the planning & approvals, excavation of site, craning of your pool, installation of the plumbing with all equipment to run the pool and a full handover. Landscaping is generally excluded although we have a number of contacts we can provide you with for these quotes.

We can complete an free online assessment of your address to assess site access and the area measurements to be able to offer you the most cost effective option and provide you with some estimate costings.

  • Fibreglass pools offer several distinct advantages over concrete pools, making them an excellent choice for your swimming pool needs.

Firstly, fibreglass pools have a much faster installation process as they arrive pre-fabricated, resulting in less disruption to your property. Secondly, the smooth, non-porous surface of fibreglass pools makes maintenance a breeze, reducing the need for frequent scrubbing and chemical treatments.

Additionally the warranties are generally almost always longer than concrete pool warranties. We offer an Extended Lifetime Structural Warranty on all of our pool shells.

Lastly, fibreglass pools are a cost-effective option as they are cheaper to install and require fewer long-term maintenance expenses.

  • Installation generally takes 2-3 days from when we arrive on site to the final handover (depending on ground conditions). Through our process of using stabilised backfill, you are also able to complete your landscaping within as little as a week after we have left site.

There are also a number of steps to consider before we get to installation day, such as building permit approvals and colour selection, but we have dedicated office staff to assist with this whole process for you. You will also receive a Welcome Pack from us when you accept the quote which will run through all of the steps leading up to installation day.

  • Maintaining a pool has become increasingly convenient with technological advancements in the past decade. Many pool systems now come equipped with automated features that can be easily controlled through user-friendly apps on your smartphone. These advancements allow you to monitor and adjust the pool's temperature, filtration, and lighting with just a few taps on your phone screen.

At Countrywide Pools, we understand that not everyone is familiar with pool maintenance, which is why we ensure a fully comprehensive handover process once the installation is complete. Our team will guide you through every aspect of your pool's operation, from basic maintenance routines to the more advanced features. We make sure that you are comfortable and confident in managing your pool, providing you with the necessary knowledge and resources to keep your pool in top condition.

  • We offer standard salt/chlorination methods which can be supplemented with magnesium blends. However, we are finding that people are increasingly opting for a fresh water system, which is better for skin conditions, allergies and hair as it uses less chemicals.

Traditional salt water chlorinators converts dissolved salt into chlorine to sanitise your pool water as it’s needed. The freshwater pool systems combine oxidisation and ionisation (copper/silver anodes) to sanitise the water and requires up to 80% less salt/mineral levels.

Freshwater systems are usually slightly more expesnive to install initially, although the cost of running them is slightly less due to less chemicals needed and your equipment and pool surrounds lasting longer due to the freshness of the water.

    The choice is yours!

  • We allow an amount for excavation for what we see fit for the job. However, often what is underground is hard to determine until digging begins. Our team are equipped with machinery onsite to break down smaller rock and excavate as normal. If we need to get the big boys in to help, we have some provisional sums in our contracts which covers the additional fees which may be required.

  • We take care of your job from start to finish - from initial permit approvals, through to excavation and then the final handover. The only thing that is subcontracted out is the crane but we project manage the whole installation and will organise mobilising to site when the crane is required so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

  • Our pools come with a Lifetime Interior Surface Guarantee with every Pool ColourGuard pool, as well as an Extended Lifetime Structural Warranty on every pool. These warranties are our commitment to providing extended guarantees over and above the standard SPASA Swimming Pool Contract warranties. These warranties give you peace of mind for your investment.
