Swimming Pools in the Wheatbelt
Swimming Pools Across the Wheatbelt WA
A lot of pool companies say they service regional WA. Far fewer will actually load up and drive to a farm outside Bruce Rock or Beacon to do it. We do — it's a core part of what we are.
Countrywide Pools is a Northam-based family business, and the Wheatbelt is genuinely our patch. We've spent more than 20 years installing fibreglass pools across regional WA, with over 400 pools in the ground. We're at the Dowerin Field Days every year because this farming community isn't a market on a map to us — it's where we work, and where a lot of our customers come from.
Choosing the right pool builder is important when installing a swimming pool in regional Western Australia.
Properties across the Wheatbelt often include larger lifestyle blocks, rural homesteads and established residential homes, each with different site conditions and installation requirements.

❋ Choosing the right pool builder
A backyard pool can quickly become the centrepiece of outdoor living. It’s where families gather on hot summer afternoons, where kids spend hours swimming after school, and where friends and neighbours come together to relax.
Swimming pools can also add lifestyle appeal to a property. According to realestate.com.au, “swimming pool” consistently ranks among the most searched lifestyle features when buyers look for homes online.
For many homeowners across the Wheatbelt, installing a pool is about creating a space where family memories are made and where the outdoor lifestyle can be enjoyed year-round. Read our blog here.

❋ Fibreglass Pools Designed for Regional WA
Wheatbelt Project: Bindi-Bindi
This is one of our favourite Wheatbelt builds, and it shows what a pool can be when it's designed to belong on a farm.
Set on a Wheatbelt family farm near Bindi-Bindi, this elevated 4m round plunge pool pays quiet homage to the property's original rainwater tank. Clad in corten steel and framed by curved batten fencing, it blends rustic rural character with genuinely refined design — a compact pool that makes a real architectural statement without pretending to be something it's not.
It's proof that a farm pool doesn't have to be a basic afterthought. With the right design, it can be the best-looking thing on the property.
Fibreglass Pools Right Across the Wheatbelt
Wherever you are in the Wheatbelt, chances are we've installed a pool nearby. We regularly work in and around:
Cunderdin, Kellerberrin, Merredin, Wongan Hills, Dowerin, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Moora, Beacon, Beverley and Wundowie — along with the farms and properties in between.
Out here, word travels. Farming communities talk, and a good chunk of our Wheatbelt work comes from one neighbour seeing another's pool go in. We're more than happy for it to keep working that way.
Built to Travel Where Others Won't
Installing a pool on a Wheatbelt farm is a different job to a suburban backyard, and pretending otherwise is how customers end up with surprise costs. We're geared up specifically for it.
We own and run our own fleet — including a 10-tonne and 5-tonne excavator, rock-breaking attachments, a bobcat and a ditch witch — and our truck is set up to mobilise that gear right across the Wheatbelt. That means we quote the realities of a remote install upfront: the travel, the access, the ground conditions, the lot. No standard-metro-block assumptions, no "+ + +" surprises once we're on site.
We also schedule our Wheatbelt jobs strategically — grouping work by area rather than criss-crossing the state. It keeps our costs sensible, reduces our carbon footprint, and means the truck isn't on the road for no reason.
We Know Wheatbelt Ground
The Wheatbelt is a big area and the ground varies right across it — some sites dig easily, others throw up rock or granite. Cunderdin, for instance, is known for granite in the townsite. On a farm, you often don't know exactly what's down there until you start.
That's why we allow for excavator digs upfront rather than assuming an easy job. We'd rather quote it properly the first time than hit you with extras later. In 20+ years across regional WA, we've yet to find a block we couldn't get a pool into.
We install premium fibreglass pools built for Australian conditions — durable, low maintenance and quick to install. From family pools to lap pools, plunge pools and spa combinations, there's a design to suit your property and how you want to use it.
Our team will help you choose the right pool design — browse the full pool range here. And our Pool Planner tool lets you drop a pool onto an aerial image of your own property before you enquire.

FAQ’s
-
Yes — it's a core part of what we do, not an afterthought. We regularly install in Cunderdin, Kellerberrin, Merredin, Wongan Hills, Dowerin, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Moora, Beacon and the farms in between. We own a fleet set up specifically to mobilise across the Wheatbelt, so getting the gear to a remote property is standard work for us.
-
A fully installed fibreglass pool generally falls between $30,000 and $120,000+, depending on the pool size, your site conditions and any extras like fencing, heating or fit-out. For remote properties we factor in the travel and access realities upfront, so the quote you get is the real picture. For a detailed breakdown, see our pool cost guide on the blog.
-
There can be additional costs for travel, access and mobilising equipment to a remote site — but the key thing is we build those into the quote from the start. We don't quote a standard metro block and then add surprise charges once we're on site. You'll know the real figure upfront.
-
It varies right across the region — some sites dig easily, others have rock or granite, and Cunderdin in particular is known for granite. We allow for excavator digs upfront and carry rock-breaking gear, so it's handled without surprise extras.
-
Once we're on site, a fibreglass pool install generally takes 2-4 days depending on site conditions and weather. The full process from enquiry to swimming usually runs 3-9 months once you factor in design, approvals, manufacturing and scheduling.
